Is stretching the only way to lengthen muscles? In this 3 hour Awareness Through Movement workshop we will:

  • Find ways to lengthen the hamstrings beyond simple stretching and use of will power
  • Learn about the stretch reflex and its implications for Yoga and other stretching exercises
  • Become aware of habits and preferences that can lead to shortening of our hamstrings
  • Experience the influence of the head and neck and upper torso on the degree of tension in the legs
